About Na’Amana Amen

This journey starts when I became vegan in high school. I hosted vegan cooking class to my mother’s friends who were interested in the benefits of eating less animal products.

The path opened up when I met Nazirahk Amen, who introduced me to meditation, fasting, and gardening. His practice of naturopathic medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, and Chinese herbs blossomed into the opening of Wisdom Path Healing Center in Takoma Park, Maryland.  Nourishing the Sacred Fire vegan cooking classes were developed to support the patients as they transitioned into healthier lifestyles.

We started a vibrant family, birthing all 3 children at home. Homeschool became a natural extension of our lifestyle.

Along the way, we also birthed many new endeavors in the direction of service. We went from a backyard garden to multiple acres of rice, wheat, oats, beans and a wide variety of vegetables. Purple Mountain Organics provides garden and farm supplies. We now sell our produce and dry goods at the Takoma Park Farmers Market, Dupont Circle and else where.  Visit our new website PurpleMountainGrown.com.

I am a biodynamic beekeeper, as taught by Gunter Hulk, co-founder of Spikenard Farm Honeybee Sanctuary. For over a decade, I have been fascinated with honeybees and working with them in the garden. I am also an avid Tarot reader. The wisdom transmitted through tarot cards divination is amazing.

Recently I went on a pilgrimage to India where my practice of Kundalini Yoga was deepened through a one month intensive. I studied with Gurmukh and Gurushabd, as well as many dynamic teachers along the Alakananda River in the foothills of the Himalayas.  Classes are now being offered through which I share my passion and expertise.
